Enabling smarter farming through technology

FarmGuard scans Zimbabwean farms with multispectral drones, tests the soil and water behind the imagery, and flies the treatment the data actually calls for — instead of spraying the whole block and hoping.

Certified by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for the application of agricultural treatments and plant protection.
Flight plan over a field block A field boundary with parallel spray swaths at set overlap, a no-spray buffer along the watercourse, a boustrophedon flight path, and a refill point on the headland outside the block. HOME / REFILL SWATH NO-SPRAY BUFFER — WATERCOURSE

Services

We scan it, read it, treat it, then watch it.

Scanning and spraying are the core of the work. Everything else exists so the spray goes on at the right rate, in the right place, at the right growth stage.

Main services

Multispectral

Scanning

Multispectral imagery shows us the problem areas on your farm before they are visible from the ground. That imagery is what the herbicide drone reads to decide the appropriate treatment.

  • Problem areas mapped with a boundary, not a guess
  • Imagery processed into a treatment plan
  • Flown repeatedly through the season
Application

Spraying

Herbicides, pesticides and fungicides applied by drone with accuracy a boom sprayer cannot match — no wheel tracks, no waiting for the soil to dry, no compaction.

  • Applied according to the multispectral map
  • Herbicide, pesticide and fungicide programmes
  • Maximum economy per hectare treated

Supporting services

In season

Monitoring

Continuous surveillance, with flights scheduled by our agronomists to land on the critical stages of crop vegetation rather than on a fixed calendar.

Laboratory

Soil analysis

Samples go to the lab and the results come back to our agronomists, who read them for soil fertility, nutrient deficiencies, and the fertilizer your soil specifically needs.

Planning

Recovery planning

A written plan with timelines and deliverables: what fertilizer, how much, when to apply it, the spraying schedule, and which herbicides, pesticides and fungicides to use.

How we work

Two phases, one season.

The first phase is done before anything is sprayed. The second runs until harvest.

Phase 1

Before we step onto your farm

01

Plan

We start with an information audit of your operation — what you grow, what you have been applying, and what has been going wrong.

02

Prep

We scan the field with multispectral mapping and run soil and water testing, so the picture of your farm is measured rather than described.

03

Customize

The data and the test results become a plan built for your farm, not a standard programme applied to it.

Phase 2

Through the growing season

04

Monitoring

Repeat mappings through the season flag water problems, chemical problems and pest pressure while they are still small.

05

Tailored approach

Because we are watching continuously, we intervene at the first sign of trouble — treating a problem area instead of a whole block.

06

Harvesting

AI-driven yield predictions give you a harvest you can plan around, with labour, transport and storage booked against a real number.

What it saves

Save water. Save fuel.

The same three treatments over a thousand hectares, done conventionally and done by drone.

Water

1,000 ha · 3 treatments

Conventional600,000 L
Drone application30,000 L

20× less water carted to the field and mixed.

Fuel

1,000 ha · 3 treatments

Conventional15,000 L diesel
Drone application1,000 L petrol

15× less fuel — petrol for the generator, not diesel for a tractor.

Why aerial

Against a boom sprayer and against a fixed-wing.

Drones do not replace every pass. They win on wet ground, tall crop, awkward blocks and anything that has to happen this week.

Who we fly for

Commercial growers and estates.

Most of our work is repeat season programmes for growers running enough hectares that a missed window costs real money.

Tell us the block and we will tell you honestly whether the drone is the right tool for it.

About us

Agronomists and herbicide people who took up flying.

Our team are trained professionals with experience in agriculture from Zimbabwe to Ukraine and Romania, with higher education in the field. We came to this from the chemistry side, not the gadget side.

It was our own experience testing and approving herbicides that led us to agricultural drones — once you have measured how much product a conventional pass wastes, the case for flying the application makes itself.

So we offer the whole chain rather than one step of it: multispectral scanning, analysing and interpreting soil samples, custom recovery plans, and drone application of herbicides, pesticides and fungicides. We are certified by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in the application of agricultural treatments and plant protection.

Let us scan a block and show you what is there.

Tell us the farm, the crop and what has been giving you trouble. We will fly a demo scan and walk you through what the imagery shows — at no cost, with no obligation to book the season.
